During my collaboration with architect Giacomo Castagnola and our extended study (artist residency program at Casa Vecina) where our artistic research focuses on the question what is “craft” in an urban context around the historic center of Mexico City. If we put questions about what is common crafts that public activity and wasting time together? I was based on to be a traveler, which I have knitted this blanket of string to tie around packets for transport. The blanket is 50 inches wide and as long as 2 rolls of string rows. I started crocheting in Denmark and transported the crochet with me flying to Mexico City. In Mexico City we met a group of women who also crocheted and we crocheted together. The carpet has been installed on the roof of Casa Vecina where I just found this place to lay the carpet out.
